Important Updates With regards to School Safety we want to make you aware of a couple of things that we are doing: (1) Each school is receiving updated A.L.I.C.E. (Alert, Lockdown, Information, Counter, Evacuation) training by Barrington Police Department (BPD), due to be completed by the end of March. BPD has three staff trained in this approach and they are working with Staff at each school. (2) A Town-wide Safety Forum is in the works, where a broader discussion can be held regarding the actions being taken -- and to be taken -- regarding school and community safety. This date of this event will be provided as soon as possible. The Chain Reaction Club is hosting a Peace Poster Party on Thursday 3/22 evening at 6:00 to make posters for a Day without Hate. I will be attending. It is at the High School. On Friday we will be wearing white in support of a Day without Hate. I will be introducing a couple activities this week that we will be practicing – sitting with someone new at lunch; high five zones; to encourage students to make contact with students they don’t know.
